Portrait Series

While thinking of what to take a picture of for my series. I got bad news that my friend's pet ran off. Being that his pet, Jangles, was a good companion of mine, I was really depressed. I decicded to take pictures of my sister holding one of her Teddy Bears that she loved ever so much. I had her look depressed to depict my feelings into the pictures.

Artistic Inspirations

Woman with a Parasol, (Camille and Jean Monet) 1875 Claude Monet
Claude Monet is one of the founders of the impressionism movement. This picture reminds me of a mother waiting for something to happen.

Statue of David, 1504 Michelangelo
Michelangelo’s “David” inspired me because he made a statue to look like a real person. Something not everyone can do.
The Scream, 1893 Edvard Munch
This painting scared me when I was little. I love the emotion Edvard put into this.

Marlyn Monroe, Andy Worhol
I like how he had the same picture but colored each different. My interpretation is that they all have different emotions.

Julian Beever
Julian Beever's sidewalk pantings have me astonished that they look so realistic. I honestly thought there were real when I first layed eyes upon these masterpieces.
